The RBS group also wanted to offer their staff the opportunity to work on this long term project, so they could learn more about the problems faced by rural African communities and work alongside the people towards a common goal.

Each team of employees from the RBS will donate £7,000 to fund the project work. Employment is not taken away from local labourers, instead the RBS staff will work alongside members form the community who are also giving up their time for free to help complete the work.
Several skilled African labourers are employed to ensure the project is completed to a high standard. The donation also includes money to support the long term goals of the project. The communities don't just disappear when the expedition ends and that is why we support the project with funding beyond the week-long project.
